  • Hertbeats Golf Day – 30 September ‘26

    Many thanks to those of you who have already indicated your availability for the Hertbeats Golf Day on Wednesday 30th September at Stockwood Park Golf Club.

    The Golf Day will follow our usual format. 

    9.15 – 9.30:         Meet for coffee and bacon roll

    10.00 – 10.30:      Tee off in teams of 3 or 4 playing a modified Texas Scramble.

    15.30 – 16.00:      Sit down for a two course meal.

    17.00:                  Prize giving and conclusion

    Please let me know your availability and food choices (see below) by 20th September.

    Main course:   Lasagne & garlic bread  or  Ham Egg and Chips

    Dessert:  Bread & butter pudding or Trio of Ice Cream

    Buggy:   Please let me know if you would like me to reserve a buggy for you.

    Costs:  £50.00  payable by 20th September, please.

  • Golf Society Spring Meeting 2026

    The Hertbeats Golf Society Spring meeting will be on Wednesday 13th May. Please save the date.

    We will be playing at Stockwood Park Golf Club and following our usual format of coffee and bacon roll, team golf and a two course meal.

    Full details of the day to follow. Guests are welcome.

  • Golf Meet October 2025

    Our Autumn meeting at Stockwood Park was a little later than usual due to work being carried out on the course. 

    However, after a dull start to the day, we were blessed with a bright sunny late morning and afternoon.  The autumn colours were just coming into their own. Sixteen players including our friends from Heart to Herts participated in a not too serious team competition. The golf was followed by a meal and recollections of the day’s events.

  • Golf Meet May 2025

    Our luck held out with a glorious day for our Spring meeting at Stockwood Park. We had a good turnout and followed our usual format of coffee, bacon roll, golf and a two course meal. As previously, we played a “Texas Scramble” in teams of four. The informal golf was followed by prize giving and copious banter. A good day was had by all. 

  • Golf Meet September 2024

    We had our Autumn Meeting at Stockwood Park on September 25th. We were lucky to have a pleasant dry day during a week of heavy rain. Our day started with coffee and a cholesterol free bacon roll. Sixteen players, including a small contingent from Heart to Herts, the Hemel Hempstead cardiac support group, played on the day. A team competition, played in teams of four, ended with only five points separating the four teams. Congratulations  to Ron Jesson’s Hertbeats team who narrowly won by one point. The golf was followed by a meal, convivial banter and concluded with prize giving.

    We now have a period of hibernation and emerge in the Spring of 2025 to renew our golf activities. Watch this space!

  • Golf Meet May 2024

    We had our Spring meeting at Stockwood Park on May 8th. We were blessed with a beautiful day. 

    Sixteen players, including a small contingent from Heart to Herts, the Hemel Hempstead cardiac support group, played on the day. 

    The golf was played in teams with the final scores all being very close. Only one point separated the first two teams. Congratulations to Hertbeats member David Waller’s winning team.

    The golf was followed by a meal, convivial banter and prize giving. 

    We are planning to play our Autumn meeting at Stockwood Park in mid September . Date to be advised.
