James Green, the speaker organiser, writes:
I am very pleased that John Willan has agreed to give Hertbeats a talk on the National Lottery.
John comes from Cumbria and was a tutor at Oaklands College for 32 years teaching Horticulture and Management.
The first lottery draw was 19th November 1994. John was the first National Lottery Draw Master and the first presenter was Noel Edmonds
The UK’s state franchised lottery was set up under government licence by the government of John Major. The National Lottery is a private operator; the Camelot Group was awarded the franchise on the 25th May 1993.
Over 25 years £40 billion has been raised by the National Lottery for good causes.
John has some very interesting and amusing stories to tell about the lottery and the people he worked with so do come along and be thoroughly entertained.
