To help you get you out and about and enjoy some relaxed exercise, with the company of others, we are regularly holding 2 walks a month except for December when there are no walks planned. They are designed to suit different demands:
The 3 mile walk is held on the first Wednesday of the month starting at 10.00am. It takes about 1 ½ hrs so it is suitable for those members who may want to walk at a slower pace and to see if they can manage this sort of distance. There are no extreme hills and, as far as possible, it is usually on fairly level ground.
The second walk is a 5 mile walk on the third Wednesday of the month starting at 10am. This is intended for those members who want to walk at a faster pace over varied terrain and takes about 1 ¾ hrs.
You may want to start out on the 3 mile walk and gradually feel confident enough to try the 5 mile walk. Some members now come along to both walks!
All walks are circular, usually finishing near a hostelry in case some members need refreshment at the end of the walk! If you wish to be included on the mailing list advertising future walks, then please provide the following information:
- E mail address, if you have one.
- phone number
